Setting a text by Hannah Senesh, the Israeli pioneer and martyr of World War II, Caesarea evokes the grand forces of nature, ”the sand and the sea, the crash of the heavens,” and the most intimate of human experiences, “the prayer of the heart.”
Caesarea (Eli, Eli) is one of three songs in the set, A Time to Blossom, which use imagery of natural world to convey Divine Unity at all levels of being. More at https://meirawarshauer.com/works/a-time-to-blossom/
