Meira’s In Memoriam (September 11, 2001) in its version for solo cello, will be broadcast on Friday, September 10, beginning @ 11 AM as part of South Carolina Public Radio’s Sonatas & Soundscapes.
The performance is by cellist Robert Jesselson, cello, from the Jesselson/Fugo Duo’s Carolina Cellobration CD.
The program also featured Meira’s Tekeeyah from the Navona album Living Breathing Earth on their September 8 broadcast.
Sonatas and Soundscapes explores the diverse and colorful range of classical (and not-so-classical) music. Every weekday host Bradley Fuller programs instrumental music from history’s repertoire—everything from baroque to experimentalism.
