Cross Island, cellist Suzanne Mueller and pianist Eleanor Abrams Zayas, will present the cello and piano version of Meira’s Bracha (A Blessing) on Sunday, March 13 @ 1 PM in the Carriage House of Bayard Cutting Arboretum State Park in Great River, New York, on Long Island.
This will be part of their Distaff – An Afternoon of Music by Women Composers, which will also include works by Luise Adolpha Le Beau, Florence Price, Clara Schumann, Mel Bonis, Cecile Chaminade, Keri Degg, Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel, Amy Marcy Cheney Beach, Chen Yi, Barbara Bach Sternberg, Elena Kats-Chernin and Maria Theresia von Paradis.
Doors open for sign-in at 12:15 and it is recommended that you come early. The audience will be seated at 12:45. Admission is free, though a $5 donation would be appreciated.
